For decades Albert Paley's name has been synonymous with exciting and innovative metal sculpture. His works grace commercial and governmental buildings, airports, courthouses, museums and synagogues in the United States and in England. Paley does things with metal that no one else has ever achieved, He folds it, twists it and plays with it as though it was the lightest and most delicate fabric. In addition to Paley's major commissions, he also produces extraordinary, manipulated, curved, scaled-down pieces that can be both functional and simply beautiful. Since Paley was artist in residence at Pilchuck he has been producing exciting work that combines metal and glass.
