William Morris' work makes you feel that you are viewing some great archaeological find that was just unearthed. His Canopic jars and other vessels each have very distinctive drawings on them. When you view his vessels you can appreciate the influence of ancient pagan cultures and archeology. Morris' works are blown, hand formed, etched and molded to give you an other-worldly feel. Ancient or other-worldly beasts populate Morris's world of glass. Morris' works are in most of the world's major museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert and the Lourve. William Morris is a bold and powerful sculptor of glass. His work will fascinate you. He is recognized as a true glassmaster.
