Marvin Lipofsky is considered by critics to be one of the world's great glass artists. He was at the forefront of the whole studio glass movement and is considered one of the studio glass movement's true pioneers. Lipofsky creates sculptural, biomorphic forms that you want to touch and and hold. His works are provocative and sensual. Lipofsky manages to make his work luscious and intensely visually interesting. Over many years Lipofsky has travelled repeatedly to various countries to produce his glass sculptures which has allowed him to produce pieces under a variety of conditions and in very different situations. Lipofsky was the first American to do a series of glass sculptures in China and Czechoslovakia.

Lipofsky's work is in the permanent collection of over 50 major museums in the USA, Europe and Asia.
