Leon Applebaum is a talented and innovative artist whose approach to glass working allows for the exploitation of the transparent and reflective qualities of glass. Applebaum has been called "one of the great colorists in the field of glass". "Applebaum's sculptures are in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.; Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY; Ajeto Glass Museum, Novy Bor, Czech Republic and many other public and private collections.
